DALL·E 2 Generations in the style of Banksy

My friend Ed sent me some Banksy-oriented prompts to test out on DALL·E 2. He wrote,

I went to a Banksy exhibit last weekend and it was really amazing. Very clear style with powerful interesting messages. I wonder what DALL·E 2 could do with it….

Next, I took some of Ed’s prompts and fed them to GPT-3 in order to produce more detailed prompts, which I then fed back to DALL·E 2. Here are the prompts I used in GPT-3 and the DALL·E 2 results.

My take? The results are interesting, it misses the mark overall. It reminds me of the feeling I get when trying to make GPT-3 produce original humor that is actually funny. The output is directionally-correct and original, and sometimes even impressive, but rarely makes me laugh.
