360-degree lens
Captures a complete, spherical 360° field of view instantly: dual ultra-wide fisheye lenses and advanced stitching deliver immersive VR and panoramic data.
The 360-degree lens system captures a full spherical view (360° horizontal and vertical) in a single synchronized exposure. This is achieved using a multi-lens array: typically two opposing, ultra-wide fisheye lenses (e.g., 200° field of view each) are used in consumer models like the Insta360 X5. The camera's internal software then employs complex stitching algorithms to seamlessly merge the overlapping images into a single, cohesive equirectangular projection. Key applications span multiple sectors: automotive (surround-view parking), security (full-room monitoring), and virtual reality (VR) content creation for immersive experiences. This technology eliminates blind spots, providing comprehensive visual data for analysis and interactive viewing.
