AI Vision: It is the subfield of AI that enables machines to process, analyze, and interpret visual data (images, video) with human-level accuracy.
This technology, often called Computer Vision, trains systems to derive meaningful information from visual input. Core models like YOLO (You Only Look Once) and Faster R-CNN execute real-time object detection and image segmentation, pinpointing specific items within a frame. Applications are diverse: self-driving vehicles use it to recognize pedestrians and traffic signs (99.9% accuracy is the goal); manufacturing leverages it for real-time quality control, flagging defects faster than human inspectors; and retail uses it for automated inventory management and cashier-less checkout systems. Vision AI transforms unstructured visual data into actionable, measurable business insights.
