Design Sprint
A five-day process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping, and testing ideas with customers.
Developed at Google Ventures by Jake Knapp, the Design Sprint compresses months of work into a single week. Teams move from problem mapping on Monday to high-fidelity prototyping on Thursday and live user testing on Friday. This framework eliminates endless debate cycles by substituting group brainstorming with independent sketching and structured decision-making. It is the industry standard for validating product-market fit before committing engineering resources (used by teams at Slack, Uber, and Airbnb).
