Display
The core technology converting electronic signals into a visual image: from legacy CRTs to modern, pixel-dense OLED and MicroLED panels.
Display technology is the critical output mechanism for visual data, evolving from Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT) to flat-panel systems. Current market leaders include Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) and Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLED). LCDs, often LED-backlit, modulate light via liquid crystals for high brightness in monitors and mid-range TVs. OLEDs use self-emissive organic compounds: this delivers perfect blacks, infinite contrast ratios, and sub-1-millisecond response times, dominating high-end smartphones and premium televisions. Emerging MicroLED technology promises greater efficiency and brightness, targeting future large-format and high-resolution applications like digital signage and AR/VR headsets.
