DocFX transforms .NET source code and Markdown files into searchable, professional static documentation sites.

This engine powers Microsoft Learn by using the Roslyn compiler to extract API metadata from C#, VB, and F# assemblies. It unifies technical specs with conceptual Markdown to generate high-performance HTML. Features include automatic cross-referencing, full-text search, and flexible templating (Mustache or Liquid). Deployment is handled through a single NuGet package or the docfx.exe CLI tool.
