Markwon

Markwon is a fast, feature-rich Android library that renders CommonMark-compliant Markdown directly to native Spannables (no WebView or HTML).

Markwon is the high-performance Markdown library for Android, transforming CommonMark-spec text directly into Android-native Spannables. It bypasses the need for a WebView or intermediate HTML, ensuring extreme speed and native look-and-feel across all TextView widgets (including Button and CheckBox). The library is highly extensible, supporting features like syntax highlighting (via Prism4j), tables, and images. Since version 4.2.0, Markwon also includes an editor component for real-time Markdown input highlighting.
