Pi-Card is an open-source, AI-powered voice assistant that runs entirely on a Raspberry Pi for private, local interaction.

Pi-Card (Camera Audio Recognition Device) transforms a Raspberry Pi 5 into a fully local AI assistant, eliminating the need for cloud-based processing or external APIs. By integrating large language models like Llama 3 and vision models such as Qwen2-VL, the system handles complex conversational tasks and visual analysis directly on-device. Users interact through a USB microphone and speaker, utilizing either a wake word or a physical GPIO button to trigger the assistant. This setup ensures total data privacy while providing a customizable platform for home automation, real-time image description, and offline digital assistance.
