Apple's intelligent personal assistant (IPA): use voice commands to execute tasks, manage apps, and find information across all Apple operating systems.

Siri is Apple's proprietary virtual assistant, first launched with the iPhone 4s on October 4, 2011. It is integrated across the Apple ecosystem: iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. Users activate the service by voice (saying 'Siri' or 'Hey Siri') or button press, then use natural-language queries to perform actions (send a text, set a 6:00 AM alarm) or retrieve information (weather, sports scores). A core design principle is privacy: many requests are processed via on-device intelligence, and audio is not associated with the user’s Apple Account.
