This is a proof-of-concept project (dubbed '.unicornsh') that embeds a Large Language Model (LLM) directly into the zsh shell environment. Developed by Tijs Zwinkels, its core capability is leveraging the full context of prior commands and their output to offer highly relevant, real-time assistance. The system enhances developer productivity by allowing users to interact with the shell via natural language, execute function calls, and even write its own functions. The technology was showcased at AI Tinkerers Amsterdam, demonstrating a powerful intersection of ancient command-line tools and modern generative AI.
