Virtual Production
Virtual production merges real-time 3D engines with physical cinematography to bypass traditional post-production bottlenecks.
This workflow replaces green screens with massive LED volumes (high-resolution walls) powered by Unreal Engine. By syncing camera tracking data with real-time environments, cinematographers capture final-pixel visual effects in-camera. Productions like The Mandalorian have used this tech to cut travel budgets and eliminate lighting inconsistencies. It gives directors immediate feedback on complex CGI backgrounds while providing actors with tangible visual cues. The result is a streamlined pipeline where 90 percent of the environment is locked before the first day of shooting.
