WhyLabs is the AI Observability Platform: it monitors data quality, model performance, and security risks (drift, bias, anomalies) for predictive and generative AI systems at massive scale.

WhyLabs, now an open-source technology, operates as an AI Control Center for production models. It uses lightweight, privacy-preserving statistical profiles, generated by the open-source libraries whylogs and LangKit, to track data and model health across the entire ML lifecycle. This architecture allows teams to continuously monitor for critical issues: data drift, concept drift, and security vulnerabilities (prompt injection, PII leakage) in LLMs. The platform's core strength is its ability to deliver real-time, no-sampling observability across diverse data types (tabular, text, image) without ever accessing raw customer data, making it ideal for highly regulated sectors (finance, healthcare).
