This is Amazon Nova Act: a general-purpose AI agent developed by Amazon’s AGI lab to automate critical web tasks (e.g., ordering food, managing enterprise workflows). The technology is a browser-native automation framework, built on Playwright, that allows AI agents to interact with websites and fill forms just like a human user. Unlike rigid, traditional scripting, Nova Act uses a custom Nova 2 Lite model to adapt to changing UI layouts and different field labels, ensuring high reliability for production-level processes. The Nova Act SDK is currently available for developers to build and deploy agents, positioning Amazon to dominate browser-based automation and power key features in the upcoming Alexa+ upgrade.
