Macintosh
The original Macintosh: The personal computer that launched the Graphical User Interface (GUI) revolution on January 24, 1984.
The Macintosh (Mac) is Apple’s line of personal computers, introduced by Steve Jobs on January 24, 1984, with the original Macintosh 128K. This machine was the first commercially successful mass-market computer to feature a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and a mouse, fundamentally changing how people interacted with technology. It shipped with 128KB of RAM and a 9-inch monochrome monitor, retailing for US$2,495. The Mac quickly popularized the desktop metaphor and, paired with the LaserWriter printer, ignited the desktop publishing industry, establishing the foundation for all modern personal computing interfaces.
