Bhumi
Karnataka's pioneering e-governance platform (launched 2000) for digitizing over 20 million land records (RTCs) and streamlining ownership transfers.
Bhumi (Bhoomi) is the Karnataka government's digital backbone for land records, launched in 2000 to combat corruption and inefficiency. The platform successfully digitized over 20 million paper land records, including the crucial Record of Rights, Tenancy, and Crops (RTC or Pahani). It provides citizens direct online access to documents, simplifies processes like land mutation, and offers services like Revenue Maps and an i-Wallet for secure transactions (View RTC and MR). This system significantly enhances transparency and reduces legal disputes for farmers and landowners across the state.
