Unlock is the decentralized protocol for memberships, replacing traditional platforms with self-sovereign smart contracts (Locks). This system enables creators to define and sell access as time-bound NFTs (Keys), supporting recurring revenue models like subscriptions and one-time events (ticketing). With over 31,832 Locks deployed and 644,236 Keys minted, the protocol is a proven solution for token-gating content, physical events (e.g., DappCon), and certifications. It operates across multiple networks (Ethereum, Polygon, Base, etc.) and is fully open-source, governed by the Unlock DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization).
