Repast Simphony
A high-performance Java-based modeling toolkit for creating complex agent-based simulations with integrated 3D visualization and automated data logging.
Repast Simphony provides a robust environment for building large-scale agent-based models (ABM) using Java and Groovy. Developed by Argonne National Laboratory, the platform features a powerful Eclipse-based IDE, built-in ReLogo libraries for simplified coding, and tight integration with the R statistics package for real-time data analysis. Researchers use its discrete-event scheduler and specialized GIS tools to simulate intricate systems (ranging from urban traffic patterns to epidemiological spread) across distributed computing clusters.
